I enjoyed doing a few songs at Fletcher's Bar in King's Heath last night and on Sunday afternoon. Sadly Ingrid wasn't well and couldn't make it, so I performed a few solo songs that seemed to go down well. It seems to be a good mixture of classical guitarists, singer song writers and singer guitarists - its a nice environment to perform in, with support from other friendly musicians and visitors to the bar. The beers' nice too - Butty Bach. Last night (Monday) I tried a mainly folk based set starting with "Someone of words and not of deeds' then 'Red Ribbon' with 'Don't cut the old oak tree down' followed by 'True land of mine'.
